Scrappin’ Twins: Scrapbooking Became Business

Cindy Minear from Scrappin’ Twins is the mother of six, including identical twin boys. She started the home based business Scrappin’ Twins in 2003.

What inspired you to start your own business?

“Before my twins were born, I was an avid scrapbooker. After they were born, I looked for scrapbooking supplies for twins to use in their books. I was unable to find any cute twin themed paper and stickers, so I decided to create some myself, and Scrappin’ Twins was born. Over the years, I added other multiples related products, including apparel, mugs, and bags. Due to the decline in the paper scrapbooking industry, we have discontinued our scrapbooking line.”

What’s your background?

“I have a BS and MS in Computer Science, as well as an MBA. When I was pregnant with my twins, I “retired” from my job as a software engineer working on the International Space Station project to stay home with my children.”

What’s the top 3 most sold products in your store?

“Our most popular item is our Game of Twins shirts and onesies. The next most popular item is our I’m A Twin Mom What’s Your Superpower? tank top. Our third most popular item is our Double Blessed Twin Grandma shirt.”

What’s your plans for Scrappin’ Twins going forward?

“I’m always looking for new product lines to add to the business. Currently, I’m working on adding twin themed journals and log books. Our most popular one so far is our Twin Mama Baby Feeding and Diaper Log.”
